https://www.eonline.com/ap/news/1020695/sister-sister-star-marques-houston-is-engagedIf you remember screaming “Go home, Roger” along with Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry on Disney’s Sister, Sister, you weren’t alone.

Fast forward to now, and fans will be saying “You go, Roger,” because Marques Houston just got engaged to Miya X!

That’s right, his lady said “yes” and not “Go home, Roger!”

The 37-year-old actor took to Instagram to share the exciting engagement news with his one million followers.

“She said “YES,”” he captioned his announcement post, along with a close-up photo of him and his fiancé holding hands. Of course, the massive diamond sparkler was on full display.

In another sweet snap, the You Got Served star simply wrote, “My fiancé.” The two looked cozy and crazy in love locking arms in the back of their car ride.

To make things even cuter, the newly engaged pair wore matching red and denim outfits! Miya kept things simple with an off-the-shoulder blouse while Marques opted for a button-down, which he wore open with a white tank underneath.

Fans of the singer quickly flooded the comment section congratulating them on their next chapter.

“Congratulations to you both,” one follower wrote. Another added, “Roger is getting married.”

The best reaction to the pair’s news, however, had to be this: “bro do the rain dance scene from “you got served” for her during the reception!”

Although, many followers in the comment section were confused about the engagement announcement because they thought the two had already tied the knot. “I’m so confused I thought they were already married,” one person said.

Considering Miya’s Instagram name has been “MiyanaHouston” for quite some time, many thought the two were already hitched. She has yet to share any behind-the-scenes snaps of the proposal.

Congrats to the happy couple!

A taste for the finer things runs in the family.

The Chanel cruise 2019 bagChanel
Brielle Biermann, 21, splurged on her mom, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, for Christmas this year. Brielle bought her a $4,500 Chanel bag from the brand’s cruise 2019 collection and it’s shaped like a life preserver.

The 40-year-old reality star told People magazine that her daughter was so excited about the gift, she made her open it earlier this month.

“This happens every year,” the “Tardy for the Party” star said. “She can’t keep a secret for s—t … [husband] Kroy doesn’t think it’s in the spirit of Christmas because everyone should enjoy the excitement of me opening it.”

Nonetheless, Kim was thrilled with the early gift, gushing, “[It’s] the coolest Chanel bag ever. I love pink and I love the beach and it’s like a life preserver inner tube purse. It’s the cutest bag ever!”

As for what she’s giving Brielle this holiday season, the mother of six says she’ll just have to wait and see.

“I haven’t given her gift yet because Kroy would really kill me.”

Wednesday was a rough night for Stephen Colbert, after Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement earlier in the day.

The “Late Show” host made it known that he did not want to be alone before breaking the news to the audience. “Listen, if you’re on a low-carb diet, you’re in luck ’cause ain’t no way to sugarcoat this,” he began.

Then he made a plea with Kennedy: “I never thought I’d say this, but you’re only 81!”

Kennedy said he would retire on July 31, which allows President Donald Trump to nominate a second justice to the U.S. Supreme Court. Trump’s first nominee, Neil Gorsuch, was confirmed by the Senate in April 2017 by a vote of 54-45.

Hasn’t it been such a delight these past few weeks to hear all about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their eternal love?!

Of course it has.

Royal weddings don’t happen every day, and royal weddings featuring the higher-up royals that most people are actually familiar with are even more rare.

It’s just been so nice to gush about the wedding when pretty much everything else in the world is a big ol’ dumpster fire, you know?

To watch the wedding ceremony, to listen to Harry and Meghan’s vows, to see their adorable faces when they were looking at each other, all in love and excited.

To get all the details on her lovely dress and the reception and every single thing that happened before, during, and after the wedding.

There have been so many things to talk about, and we’re still not done yet, not by a long shot.

And according to this new report, that is really, really upsetting for poor Kim Kardashian.

It seems like no one can ever leave Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith alone. When it isn’t those pesky swinging rumors, it’s divorce rumors.

Will has had it up to here with people speculating that his healthy marriage is on its last leg.

So he’s slamming haters and speculators in a new rap. Take a look!
You may not be aware, but Will Smith appears to be some sort of social media savant. He’s a natural.

This is, suffice it to say, unusual in his age demographic. Will is 49.

But as much of a delight as he is on Instagram, it’s a new YouTube video that he shared this week that has our attention.

It has been 13 years since his last album, Lost and Found.

But now he’s giving fans a preview of his new song, “To the Clique.”

In the video, Will raps:

“20 years of swag y’all just witnessed, let me remind everybody who Will Smith is.”

Sometimes, people need a reminder of who you are and why you are so famous.

Fans on Twitter were especially amused by one line in particular.

“Rappers make it rain; if I throw my money up, s–t, I’d probably kill a stripper.”

What has people’s attention isn’t an apparent joke about killing a sex worker.

Rather, people love the reference to Will’s hard-earned wealth.

(CNN)The teen sex comedy gets a gender flip in “Blockers,” as a tight-knit trio of girls make a “sex pact,” vowing to lose their virginity on prom night. But it’s really the parents who take center stage in this raunchy and fitfully quite funny directorial debut from “Pitch Perfect” writer Kay Cannon, which plumbs plenty of warm hugs from the idea of parental angst about their kids leaving the nest.

Driving that angst home, the three girls (Kathryn Newton, Geraldine Viswanathan and Gideon Adlon) are initially shown meeting as adorable kindergarteners, before jumping ahead to find them preparing for prom night, and seizing on the idea of sharing the big sex moment as a kind of anniversary. (The fact that one is actually wrestling with coming out adds a nice wrinkle to the proceedings.)
Inevitably, their respective parents — single mom Lisa (Leslie Mann), tear-prone dad Mitchell (John Cena) and divorced dad/perpetual screw-up Hunter (Ike Barinholtz) — get wind of the scheme, with the first two hell-bent on interceding, while the third — having become distant from his kid since the split — tagging along without endorsing the idea of trying to stop them.

A week before I began my freshman year at Howard University in 2011, I went to my local barber, sat in the chair, and told him to cut off all my hair. After years of perms and hot combs burning my scalp and leaving me to equate beauty with pain, I knew it was time for a change. Amid the many stares of the men in the shop questioning why I would want to do that, I felt the buzzers on the nape of my neck and knew I wasn’t turning back. When I left the barbershop, I felt empowered and free; however, the consistent looks and accompanying commentary that soon came with it from people I didn’t even know made me wonder why seeing a woman with a short haircut was such a taboo topic. To be frank, I can count the times I was asked about my health status or sexual orientation — as if either of those were determinants of a woman’s hair choice.

But now more than ever, women are reclaiming their power — and the power that has long been given to their hair. In lieu of long, flowy tresses, many individuals are sporting short, cropped, or buzzed looks. Lest we forget, back in the late ’80s Sinéad O’Connorrebelled against the societal norms of women in the music industry by cutting off all her hair, and Grace Jones lopped off her tresses in an act of rebellion against how women were meant to behave.

It seems this moment is becoming longer than a running trend — celebrities such as Willow Smith, Keke Palmer, Kristen Stewart, Amandla Stenberg, Cara Delevingne, Sanaa Lathan, and the list goes on — have all rocked buzzcuts. Women like Amber Rose pushed the envelope before it became a “thing.” And who can forget even the moments that have forever been encapsulated in pop culture, like Britney Spears infamously shaving her hair off in 2007?

There are modern characters like Eleven from Stranger Things, the amazing Dora Milaje warrior women in Black Panther, and others who have reintroduced what it looks like to be a beautiful, badass woman without hair. Oh, and don’t mistake that the only ones making a difference are on the big screen — even in local communities, buzzed beauties are getting things done, like Emma González. González not only has become a symbol of hope for speaking out on gun reform after the Parkland, Fla., shooting, but also a symbol of female empowerment in her decision to shave her head as a marker of her preparing to continue war against those who uphold current gun regulations. As she puts it, “When you got work to do but your hair’s gettin too long #StonemanStrong #BaldiesGetTheJobDone #MarchForOurLives.” And while it’s not necessarily a political move, it’s still pretty bold.

Looks like the Spice Girls reunion is still up in the air.

Fans of the famous girl group got all whirled up after Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton had a surprise reunion last month. Speculation quickly began about the possibility of new music and a tour.

However, Beckham was quick to shut down the rumors and explained that they were not going on tour. Now, Mel C is echoing the fashion designer’s words and clarifying that not all the Spice Girls got invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming wedding.

“Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time,” the 44-year-old singer told The Sun at The Prince’s Trust Awards at the London Palladium on Tuesday. “I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky,” confirming that there are “no plans” for just four of them to tour.

“It’s very early stages. We’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time,” she added. “It was just getting together to reignite all the things that we have had together and to work with [manager] Simon [Fuller].”

As for those rumors that the ladies would be attending the royal wedding in May, the singer had contradictory comments to what Mel B previously shared.

“I’ve met Prince Charles lots of times. I’m going to ask him where my invite is because I haven’t got mine yet, obviously Mel B said she has hers,” she shared, referencing Mel B’s comments she made on The Reallast month about all five members being invited.

At the time, a Spice Girls rep would not comment on Mel B’s interview. However, a source told ET that there is no plan for the Spice Girls to perform at the royal wedding.

“I think Mel was just kind of having a bit of a joke,” Mel C added. “There are no plans to go to the wedding at the moment.”

So for now, Mel C will continue to work on her personal projects, sharing that “there will be new music but just me. I’m making an album which will be out later this year.” But, don’t expect much from the Spice Girls.

“We’re all just dead busy,” the “On the Horizon” singer expressed. “So if anything were to happen, it wouldn’t be now.”

Jennifer Garner may have unintentionally won the night at the 2018 Oscars.

The “Love, Simon” actress stepped out for the 90th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night in a stunning cobalt blue Versace gown that won her rave reviews from style critics, but it was a cutaway shot of Garner during the actual telecast that dominated the conversation.

While applauding in the audience along with the rest of the star-studded crowd, Garner was shown on camera staring off into the distance when she suddenly stopped clapping and seemed to have some sort of epiphany.

“What realization did Jennifer Garner just come to?” writer Bobby Finger asked on Twitter.
