The Chanel cruise 2019 bagChanel
Brielle Biermann, 21, splurged on her mom, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, for Christmas this year. Brielle bought her a $4,500 Chanel bag from the brand’s cruise 2019 collection and it’s shaped like a life preserver.

The 40-year-old reality star told People magazine that her daughter was so excited about the gift, she made her open it earlier this month.

“This happens every year,” the “Tardy for the Party” star said. “She can’t keep a secret for s—t … [husband] Kroy doesn’t think it’s in the spirit of Christmas because everyone should enjoy the excitement of me opening it.”

Nonetheless, Kim was thrilled with the early gift, gushing, “[It’s] the coolest Chanel bag ever. I love pink and I love the beach and it’s like a life preserver inner tube purse. It’s the cutest bag ever!”

As for what she’s giving Brielle this holiday season, the mother of six says she’ll just have to wait and see.

“I haven’t given her gift yet because Kroy would really kill me.”

SAN FRANCISCO — The “Queen of the Internet” will soon have her own investment firm.

Mary Meeker, a venture capitalist at Kleiner Perkins, plans to depart the firm this year to start a new investment fund. It is a significant loss for Kleiner, which hired Ms. Meeker, a former Wall Street analyst known as the Queen of the Internet for her bullish coverage of internet stocks, in 2010.

Ms. Meeker is leaving Kleiner as the storied venture firm has been shrinking. It plans to spin off its practice of investing in more mature and larger private companies, known as late-stage investing, into a separate entity. Three other investors at Kleiner — Mood Rowghani, Noah Knauf and Juliet de Baubigny — will join that new firm with Ms. Meeker, which has not yet settled on a name, she said in an interview.

Ms. Meeker, 58, made her name in the late 1990s as an analyst at Morgan Stanley, cheerleading risky dot-com stocks even through the 2000 market crash. Since joining Kleiner, she has led its investments in more mature start-ups and yielded several successful bets by putting money into Facebook, Twitter, Spotify and Snap when the companies were further along. She also delivers an annual internet trends report that is often regarded as required reading in the technology industry.

Her exit is the latest shake-up at Kleiner, a 46-year-old firm that helped put venture capital on the map and in its heyday nurtured companies including Netscape, Sun Microsystems, Google and Amazon. In recent years, the firm has struggled to produce the same successes. After the dot-com bust, Kleiner missed the initial wave of social networking start-ups and focused on putting money into technologies that would help the environment, in what turned into a costly detour. Over time, other venture firms have risen and garnered more buzz.

Hasn’t it been such a delight these past few weeks to hear all about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their eternal love?!

Of course it has.

Royal weddings don’t happen every day, and royal weddings featuring the higher-up royals that most people are actually familiar with are even more rare.

It’s just been so nice to gush about the wedding when pretty much everything else in the world is a big ol’ dumpster fire, you know?

To watch the wedding ceremony, to listen to Harry and Meghan’s vows, to see their adorable faces when they were looking at each other, all in love and excited.

To get all the details on her lovely dress and the reception and every single thing that happened before, during, and after the wedding.

There have been so many things to talk about, and we’re still not done yet, not by a long shot.

And according to this new report, that is really, really upsetting for poor Kim Kardashian.

It seems like no one can ever leave Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith alone. When it isn’t those pesky swinging rumors, it’s divorce rumors.

Will has had it up to here with people speculating that his healthy marriage is on its last leg.

So he’s slamming haters and speculators in a new rap. Take a look!
You may not be aware, but Will Smith appears to be some sort of social media savant. He’s a natural.

This is, suffice it to say, unusual in his age demographic. Will is 49.

But as much of a delight as he is on Instagram, it’s a new YouTube video that he shared this week that has our attention.

It has been 13 years since his last album, Lost and Found.

But now he’s giving fans a preview of his new song, “To the Clique.”

In the video, Will raps:

“20 years of swag y’all just witnessed, let me remind everybody who Will Smith is.”

Sometimes, people need a reminder of who you are and why you are so famous.

Fans on Twitter were especially amused by one line in particular.

“Rappers make it rain; if I throw my money up, s–t, I’d probably kill a stripper.”

What has people’s attention isn’t an apparent joke about killing a sex worker.

Rather, people love the reference to Will’s hard-earned wealth.

Her body is Unreal! Shiri Appleby has figured out the key to getting a killer figure right in time for bikini season — and she shared the details in the new issue of Us Weekly!

A week before I began my freshman year at Howard University in 2011, I went to my local barber, sat in the chair, and told him to cut off all my hair. After years of perms and hot combs burning my scalp and leaving me to equate beauty with pain, I knew it was time for a change. Amid the many stares of the men in the shop questioning why I would want to do that, I felt the buzzers on the nape of my neck and knew I wasn’t turning back. When I left the barbershop, I felt empowered and free; however, the consistent looks and accompanying commentary that soon came with it from people I didn’t even know made me wonder why seeing a woman with a short haircut was such a taboo topic. To be frank, I can count the times I was asked about my health status or sexual orientation — as if either of those were determinants of a woman’s hair choice.

But now more than ever, women are reclaiming their power — and the power that has long been given to their hair. In lieu of long, flowy tresses, many individuals are sporting short, cropped, or buzzed looks. Lest we forget, back in the late ’80s Sinéad O’Connorrebelled against the societal norms of women in the music industry by cutting off all her hair, and Grace Jones lopped off her tresses in an act of rebellion against how women were meant to behave.

It seems this moment is becoming longer than a running trend — celebrities such as Willow Smith, Keke Palmer, Kristen Stewart, Amandla Stenberg, Cara Delevingne, Sanaa Lathan, and the list goes on — have all rocked buzzcuts. Women like Amber Rose pushed the envelope before it became a “thing.” And who can forget even the moments that have forever been encapsulated in pop culture, like Britney Spears infamously shaving her hair off in 2007?

There are modern characters like Eleven from Stranger Things, the amazing Dora Milaje warrior women in Black Panther, and others who have reintroduced what it looks like to be a beautiful, badass woman without hair. Oh, and don’t mistake that the only ones making a difference are on the big screen — even in local communities, buzzed beauties are getting things done, like Emma González. González not only has become a symbol of hope for speaking out on gun reform after the Parkland, Fla., shooting, but also a symbol of female empowerment in her decision to shave her head as a marker of her preparing to continue war against those who uphold current gun regulations. As she puts it, “When you got work to do but your hair’s gettin too long #StonemanStrong #BaldiesGetTheJobDone #MarchForOurLives.” And while it’s not necessarily a political move, it’s still pretty bold.

Looks like the Spice Girls reunion is still up in the air.

Fans of the famous girl group got all whirled up after Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton had a surprise reunion last month. Speculation quickly began about the possibility of new music and a tour.

However, Beckham was quick to shut down the rumors and explained that they were not going on tour. Now, Mel C is echoing the fashion designer’s words and clarifying that not all the Spice Girls got invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming wedding.

“Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time,” the 44-year-old singer told The Sun at The Prince’s Trust Awards at the London Palladium on Tuesday. “I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky,” confirming that there are “no plans” for just four of them to tour.

“It’s very early stages. We’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time,” she added. “It was just getting together to reignite all the things that we have had together and to work with [manager] Simon [Fuller].”

As for those rumors that the ladies would be attending the royal wedding in May, the singer had contradictory comments to what Mel B previously shared.

“I’ve met Prince Charles lots of times. I’m going to ask him where my invite is because I haven’t got mine yet, obviously Mel B said she has hers,” she shared, referencing Mel B’s comments she made on The Reallast month about all five members being invited.

At the time, a Spice Girls rep would not comment on Mel B’s interview. However, a source told ET that there is no plan for the Spice Girls to perform at the royal wedding.

“I think Mel was just kind of having a bit of a joke,” Mel C added. “There are no plans to go to the wedding at the moment.”

So for now, Mel C will continue to work on her personal projects, sharing that “there will be new music but just me. I’m making an album which will be out later this year.” But, don’t expect much from the Spice Girls.

“We’re all just dead busy,” the “On the Horizon” singer expressed. “So if anything were to happen, it wouldn’t be now.”

Jennifer Garner may have unintentionally won the night at the 2018 Oscars.

The “Love, Simon” actress stepped out for the 90th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night in a stunning cobalt blue Versace gown that won her rave reviews from style critics, but it was a cutaway shot of Garner during the actual telecast that dominated the conversation.

While applauding in the audience along with the rest of the star-studded crowd, Garner was shown on camera staring off into the distance when she suddenly stopped clapping and seemed to have some sort of epiphany.

“What realization did Jennifer Garner just come to?” writer Bobby Finger asked on Twitter.

Luke Perry, the actor who skyrocketed to fame in the hit 1990s TV series Beverly Hills, 90210, has died after suffering a massive stroke last week. He was 52.

Perry had been sedated in the hospital since last week, according to the entertainment website TMZ.

“The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning,” said his publicist, Arnold Robinson, in a statement.

No further details were released at this time. Perry was rushed to the hospital on February 27 after an emergency 911 call from his home in Los Angeles. Doctors had sedated Perry in an effort to minimize brain damage from stroke-related trauma.

Perry became a popular teenage heartthrob playing the rebel Dylan McKay in 90210. Recently, he portrayed construction-company owner Fred Andrews, father of the lead character, Archie Andrews, in the CW series Riverdale. The actor appeared in several television shows and films, including the HBO series Oz, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Will & Grace, and the movie The Fifth Element. Perry’s final role on screen will be in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, opening in theaters on July 26.

Stroke at a Young Age — Less Frequent but Not Unheard Of

Although nearly three-quarters of all strokes occur in people over the age of 65, stroke rates among younger adults have been increasing in the past few years, according to Sarah Samaan, MD, a cardiologist with Baylor Scott & White Legacy Heart Center in Plano, Texas. A 2017 study in JAMA Neurology found that stroke hospitalization rates rose about 41 percent among men and 30 percent among women ages 35 to 44 years between 2003 and 2012.

“We are definitely seeing more strokes in younger people than before,” says Dr. Samaan. “Not to say that this is the cause of Perry’s stroke, but risk factors include hypertension and drug use. Other possibilities include cerebral aneurysm, blood clot possibly due to a hole in the the heart, and atrial fibrillation, which can be related to sleep apnea in a younger person.”

Although 70 percent of strokes occur after the age of 65, the risk begins to increase significantly at age 45, with the incidence of stroke doubling each decade, according to a report by the American Heart Association.

The symptoms of a stroke typically remain the same no matter what the age of the person, says Larry Goldstein, MD, professor and chairman in the neurology department at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Stroke symptoms can be remembered with the acronym FAST:

F for Face Is there facial weakness or the drooping of one side of the face?
A for Arms Does the person have arm weakness?
S for Speech Is there a problem speaking or are words strange or slurred?
T for Time If any of the symptoms are present, call 911 right away.
Perry Will Be Remembered for His Life on Camera
Luke Perry was born as Coy Luther Perry III in Mansfield, Ohio, on October 11, 1966. After his parents divorced in 1972, he was raised by his mother and stepfather in Fredericktown, Ohio. His biological father died of a heart attack in 1980.

In 1984, Perry graduated from high school, where he was voted “biggest flirt” by his classmates. Soon after he moved to Hollywood to try his hand at acting. He worked a series of odd jobs while he went on more than 200 auditions over the course of three years. In 1987, he got his first break when he landed a role in the daytime soap Loving. Two years later, his career-changing moment came when he auditioned for 90210. Show creator Darren Star said in Rolling Stone, “When Luke walked into the audition, it was like ‘Wow, that’s the person.’” The show became a ratings smash for the Fox network, running for 10 seasons.

“I always felt like something of an outsider,” said Perry in a quote on IMDB. “But I identified with people up on the screen. That made me feel like I wanted to be up on the screen, too. I felt like eventually I would get there.”

Molly Ringwald, who played Perry’s ex-wife on Riverdale, tweeted her affection for the late actor:

“My heart is broken. I will miss you so much, Luke Perry. Sending all my love to your family.”

Castmates from 90201, which is scheduled for a revival on Fox this summer, also expressed their love on social media. Gabrielle Carteris wrote on Twitter, “Dearest Luke– I am so heart broken and at a loss for words. You my friend were a mighty soul and have left your mark. My love and prayers to the family and all who loved you. RIP”

Perry is survived by his children, Jack and Sophie (ages 21 and 18, respectively); fiancée, Wendy Madison Bauer; mother, Ann Bennett; stepfather, Steve Bennett; brother, Tom Perry; sister, Amy Coder; and other close family and friends.

Fast forward to now, and fans will be saying “You go, Roger,” because Marques Houston just got engaged to Miya X!

That’s right, his lady said “yes” and not “Go home, Roger!”

The 37-year-old actor took to Instagram to share the exciting engagement news with his one million followers.

“She said “YES,”” he captioned his announcement post, along with a close-up photo of him and his fiancé holding hands. Of course, the massive diamond sparkler was on full display.

In another sweet snap, the You Got Served star simply wrote, “My fiancé.” The two looked cozy and crazy in love locking arms in the back of their car ride.

To make things even cuter, the newly engaged pair wore matching red and denim outfits! Miya kept things simple with an off-the-shoulder blouse while Marques opted for a button-down, which he wore open with a white tank underneath.

Fans of the singer quickly flooded the comment section congratulating them on their next chapter.

“Congratulations to you both,” one follower wrote. Another added, “Roger is getting married.”

The best reaction to the pair’s news, however, had to be this: “bro do the rain dance scene from “you got served” for her during the reception!”

Although, many followers in the comment section were confused about the engagement announcement because they thought the two had already tied the knot. “I’m so confused I thought they were already married,” one person said.

Considering Miya’s Instagram name has been “MiyanaHouston” for quite some time, many thought the two were already hitched. She has yet to share any behind-the-scenes snaps of the proposal.

Congrats to the happy couple!
